Little Black Book
‘Camerton Bath Somerset A Brief History’
Camerton is a sleepy village that you can drive through, blink and it is gone!
The book is packed with potted history, a treasure trove of old black ‘n’white photographs. Camerton was a strong mining community, a vicar that lived in the wrong place at the wrong time, due to total despair shot himself in nearby woods. Farming, church, school and a church room that was built by public subscription in memory of the lady of the manor. The old post office, miner’s institute/hall, canal, the railway and much more! all accompanied with historical detail.
